Hand knit/crocheted dishcloths are absorbent, long lasting, easy to use and easy to clean (just throw in the wash), and pretty. They come in a multitude of solid or varigated colours to match your kitchen, or the season. The knit ones are approximately 7" and more tightly constructed while the crocheted ones are about 9" with a more open construction. Full disclosure, they will fade and dark colours will run for the first few washings. So, for example, the first few washes do not put the green one in with your whites in the wash (you do not need to ask me how I know this). I also use these as a trivet, in a pinch, one for a pot or you could lay out 2 or 3 for a 9x13 pan, single layer or double them up, your choice.
